Volcanes Domuyo y Laguna del Maule.
En el marco de una colaboración con el European Centre for Geodynamics and Seismology (ECGS) en Luxemburgo y aprovechando de desarrollos anteriores hechos en el Centre Spatial de Liège en Belgica, el Laboratorio de Estudio y Seguimiento de Volcanes Activos (LESVA-IIPG), participó activamente en el desarrollo de una herramienta automática aplicado al monitoreo de volcanes por interferomeria radar de apertura sintética.
Esta herramienta, llamada MasTer Tool (InSAR automated Mass processing Toolbox for multidimensional Time series), totalmente automática, monitorea la deformación del terreno en forma continua, para realizar el seguimiento de los volcanes Domuyo y Laguna del Maule en tiempo real.
MasTer se aplica en imágenes SAR de los satélites Europeos Sentine 1A y Sentinel 1B para generar series temporales de los movimientos. A partir del procesamiento de interferometria SAR diferencial (InSAR) y Multidimensional Small BAseline Subset (MSBAS), se visualiza los movimientos verticales y horizontales después que se puede conseguir y procesar la última imagen. Esta herramienta alimenta una pagina web en Luxemburgo que da acceso a todos los resultados.
La utilización de los resultados accesibles en esta pagina web es totalmente abierta y ofrecida a la comunidad científica como al público. Solo se requiere de mencionar la fuente, agradeciendo el IIPG y ECGS en todas publicaciones cual sean (artículos, web, diarios…).

Continuous monitoring of Domuyo and Laguna del Maule Volcanoes using Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) imagery.
In the frame of a collaboration with European Centre of Geodynamics and Seismology (ECGS), Luxembourg, and taking advantage of former developments made at Centre Spatial de Liège, Belgium, the Laboratorio de Estudia y Seguimiento de Volcanes Activos (LESVA) participate actively to the implementation of an automatic tool for volcanoes monitoring based on SAR interferometry. This fully automated tool, named MasTer Tool for InSAR automated Mass processing Toolbox for multidimensional Time series, is currently applied to monitor among others Domuyo and Laguna del Maule inflation.
In this frame, MasTer is using SAR images provided by the Sentinel 1A and Sentinel 1B European satellites to generate displacements time series. Through Diferential SAR interferometry (DInSAR) and Multidimensional Small BAseline Subset (MSBAS), vertical and horizontal observed displacement are rapidly updated after last image availability. The tool is feeding a web page maintained in Luxembourg to provide all results to interested users.
Use of results presented on the web page is totally open and offered to the scientific community as also to all interested user. It is only requested to mention source, acknowledging IIPG and ECGS in any publication of any kind (paper, news paper, web page…)
